One of my favorite parts of her story is that Jesus didn’t just heal her and move on. He stopped. He called her “Daughter.” I can’t help but think about all those years of suffering, isolation, disappointment, and spending everything she had trying to get better. It feels like, in that one moment, Jesus wasn’t just restoring her body. He was restoring her heart, her dignity, and reminding her that she belonged. That part gets me every single time.
